Not enough is said about Gerhard, or his contribution to Cerebus. It's hard to imagine the last 20 years of Cerebus without his backgrounds. In most cases, in fact, there is far more of Gerhard's artwork on the printed page than Dave Sim's. Unfortunately, there is very little work by Gerhard outside of Cerebus. The following is a collection of images depicting Gerhard's band mates. They are collaboration's with his friend Scott. If I remember correctly, the formula above Scott's picture and on Gerhard's bass is a variation on Heisenberg's Uncertainty Principle - Scott's "personal symbol" aka "Quantum Fun D'Mentalist":
